Class Descriptions

All Levels Ashtanga

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is different from many yoga classes in the west in that the order of asanas is completely predefined. A practice will comprise four main parts: an “opening sequence,” one of the six main “series”, a back-bending sequence, and a set of inverted asanas, referred to as the “finishing sequence.” Practice always ends with savasana. The opening sequence begins with 10 Sun Salutations and then several standing asanas.

All Levels Flow

Increase strength, flexibility, endurance as you build movements based on sun salutation series. Both modifications and challenges to the poses are offered to make the class appropriate for students of varying levels. Room temperature up to 80 degrees.

Barkan-Style Hot All Levels Yoga

The room is heated which allows for a deeper release within the body, lessens chance of injury, speeds healing and flushes toxins from the body. This class is recommended for everyone, from first day beginners to advanced students. There can be any number of variations to these postures, but the basic structure of the class will be kept the same.
